We've been FLOCKED!

Nine years ago this summer there was so much uncertainty, would Ben make it through his treatments?  Would I be able to carry all four babies long enough that they would be born without any long term obstacles?  During that time our friends began a fundraiser for our family where they would move a flock of flamingos from yard to yard for a donation.  Because of the generousity of friends, family and community members we made it through those dark days and were able to all come home to live a healthy and happy life.  It was bittersweet to come home to see this flock in our yard as a fundraiser for the GHS Class of 2019!

What's crazier than one set of quads???

TWO SETS OF QUADS!!!  There's nothing like spending a weekend with a family who's house is just as crazy as ours.  These guys spent their first 4th of July weekend together in 2010 and 8 years later they are still best of pals.  What a great couple days of playing, swimming and hanging with friends.

McAllister Family Reunion

Every year Uncle Dave and Aunt Susan host a family reunion at their home in Massachussetts and we always try to make it because it is a fun time and the only time of year that we all get together.  This year it was a mom + 4 trip and we had a blast...thank goodness for DVD players in vans!

It was probably 95 degrees out but that didn't stop these crazies from spending some time in the hot tub!

All the playing and the hot sun wore Cameron out so where better to nap than in the pool floating around?

Oh these girls, they have so much fun together!

I think Auntie Em and Uncle Dave are the biggest kids of them all!

These kiddos are growing too fast!

The fab four was very excited to see Memere!

We can't wait until next year!

Summer time is for Sleepovers, Swimming and Sundaes!

Each year we have an end of the school year sleepover, this year Grammie took the boys one night and then Aubrey the next so they could enjoy a brother/sister free sleepover day.  They had a blast playing fun games, pampering themselves and of course staying up late telling stories and laughing.

This year we decided that the kids were big enough to enjoy a pool in the back yard so we searched for the best deal then put one up.  Countless hours have been spent in the pool with each other and of course with good friends...what better way to end a pool party than with ice cream sundaes!

Father's Day 2018

This year the Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops planned a field trip to Whale's Tale Water Park for Father's Day.  This deferred from our traditional Fishing Derby then Santa's Village tradition but I think it was a great day had by all.  I had thought about taking them to Whale's Tale in the past but worried they weren't big enough to enjoy it.  I think this was the perfect age for their first time!  They had a ball riding the slides, lounging in the lazy river, jumping the waves in the wave pool and playing in the splash park.  This will definitely be somewhere we return to in the future years!  So much fun and lots of memories made!

Good bye 3rd grade!

In the blink of an eye they said good bye to third grade and became FOURTH GRADERS!!!  We had the best year this year. Each child got exactly what they needed to succeed and they had a great teacher in Ms. Vaillancourt.  I love that she found the strengths in each of them without making them feel like they were defined by their weaknesses...

Aubrey got the Future Teacher Award!

Matthew got the Wonderful Worker Award!

Brady earned the Mr. Manners Award!

Cameron earned the Future Scientist Award!

Baseball Season 2018

What a great baseball season we had!  The boys went all season undefeated and then lost after a good game in the final game of the season.  Brady did amazing playing short stop most of the season, Matthew tried his hand at pitching a few times but really shined on 2nd base, and Cameron made a great catcher!  The boys learned and grew so much over the 8 weeks and are really looking forward to playing on the 12u team next year.

The girls team had far more wins than losses and had a great time playing this season!  Aubrey tried pitching a few times and did pretty well, second base was her normal position and she rocked it!  She is looking forward to next season, although she wishes she could play down with this crowd one more year.
